The multi-purpose, floating self-elevating platform Combifloat C-726 “KOPERNIK-1” is a GT’s new investment to increase the company’s potential in the field of geophysical and geotechnical research for the offshore wind energy sector.
Along with the energy transformation, the company’s broad and deep portfolio of services has expanded to include new solutions for offshore wind farms (OWF): setting out the environmental conditions for OWF construction and foundation, submarine mapping of power cable routes to connect OWF with land, expansion of land and sea infrastructure, including ports and installation or service terminals.
The high-tech GT’s equipment has now been expanded by the multi-purpose floating self-elevating platform Combifloat C-726 “Kopernik-1”, with direct impact on higher quality, availability and maintenance of high HSE standards compared to the solutions yet applied on Polish market. It is also a response to current and future customer need related to OWF, FSRU and external ports installation and construction.
Technological advantage of the platform is also the ability to work continuously up to 3m wave and keep the pontoon at a 5m wave. Thanks to these features, it can operate for most of the year, despite severe weather conditions.
